Manager's Musings
There has been the odd flake of snow, here in the deep South -- Wellington. For those of you who reside north of number seven, you have had more than a taste of winter, on occasion. Cars heading south from Vance Motors have been covered in snow! Joanne and I have returned from Italy, with pictures, postcards, and tee shirts to prove we were there! An early but sincere Holiday Greeting to everyone!

'tis the Season!
Your Club is preparing for the Holiday season in style. Board member Carolyn Emerson has volunteered to spruce up the place, and it looks great! Beautiful wreath above the mantle---spectacular lights and greens around the Club. Thanks, Carolyn. We still have one good date left for Holiday Parties, due to cancellation: Thursday, December 16 . Please call and leave a message if we can help.

Turkey Bingo---Tuesday, December 21
No holiday would be complete at the Belleville Club without a Turkey Bingo---one of the longest standing traditions at the Club. This is not "Bingo Hall Bingo". Slowly and methodically, we use plastic markers to cover our numbers. Good for kids from six to ninety-six. First number is called at 7:00pm. Come early to get set up, have a drink or two---it helps. A dozen turkeys to be won, as well as many other fabulous prizes donated by our generous Club members. Proceeds to go to Operation Red Nose.

A Note about Operation Red Nose
The city has re-instituted this most worthwhile program this year. One quick call, and a driver will pick you up and take you home. An escort driver will deliver your car to your driveway. A most sensible way to get home, after two or three pops. Look for their poster on our bulletin board. Avoid the hassle. Use the program.

In Memoriam
The Club extends sincere condolences to the Van Soelen family. Bill loved the Club, and really enjoyed himself at many Club events. The Club was honored to host the reception following the funeral.
Sympathies are also extended to the Nelson family. Jake's wife Dolores passed away in early November.

Friday Lunches
Lunch at the Belleville Club has become a wonderful social event. Meet your friends for lunch. Stay a while. No rush, no fuss. Most often, lunch is catered by two of Belleville's finest chefs -- Dean Burns and Sans Souci's Greg Sheridan. Soup, salad, sandwiches, one or two entrees, dessert -- nine dollars for members, twelve for non-members. Tax is even included, but not the gratuity.

Events Past
How time flies! We have hosted a myriad of events over the past couple of months -- including two Swing Dances with Doug Aselstine and the River City Swing Band. A wonderful gentlemen's stag, with a crowd that increases each year. A Hallowe'en party. A few weddings. Anniversary, retirement, and birthday parties. A Christening party. We are at your service for any type of social event.
